HISTORY
Tamar Chemicals was established in 1967 by the pioneer of Water Treatment within Australia, Mr. R.A Mathews. Having worked for I.C.I Chemicals in England, Mr. Mathews relocated to Melbourne to introduce I.C.I Chemicals into the Australian market, thus, consolidating 25 years of experience and expertise into our local industry.
In 1974, Mr. Sigi Zidziunas, a well-respected chemical engineer, a Fellow of the Institute of Chemical Engineers , a Chartered Scientist, and a Chartered Engineer, purchased the company, with a vision to offer tailored water treatment solutions that would add value to its customers, whilst setting the benchmark for service excellence throughout the industry.
From its modest beginnings, the Tamar Group has evolved to earn its reputation as a market leader and respected provider of water treatment services. The Group is Australian owned and operated and has since expanded its services throughout Australia, Indonesia, Malaysia and the Philippines and now in the Middle East.
For the past ten years, Tamar Group has produced and has supplied the Air Conditioning companies with a unique Indoor Air Quality product, utilizing natural Australian Tea Tree Oil for the control of Mould, Bacteria, Mildew, that can promote Sick Building Syndrome. The product is Safe-T-Air which is put into duct systems to eliminate not only the bad odours, but to help prevent the spread of disease throughout the buildings.
